The first search engine was Archie it was created in 1990.It was appeared in november 1993.Search engines work by storing information.Most of the search engines have many adverts.The search engines make money when someone click on the adverts.A search engine is a website where you can find information & pictures about anything.Search engines are the key to specific information.
Advantages and Disadvantages of Internet.
E-commerce
E-commerce short for electronic commerce is the buying and selling of a product or service by means of the internet. It follows the same basic principles as traditional commerce-that is, buyers and sellers exchange goods for money. There are 4 types of e-commerce which are Product Transactions, Service transactions, auctions, and business-to-business (B2B) transactions.

Examples of e-commerce web sites are amazon, ebay etc. And an example of a Maltese e-commerce web site is the Airmalta where you can buy your flight ticket online.
In 1957 the united states department of defense formed a small agency called (ARPA).This stands for advenced research projects agency .to develop Militery Science and Technology.
Between 1961 – 1966 The (Mit)started there research . The first plan was unveiled by Larry Roberts of (Mit).
During the year 1969 the Department of Defense commissions the Fledgling Arpanet for Network research. The offical first Nodes Network Nodes were UCLA ,Standford research. Institute ,UCSB and the University of UTAH.The first Node to Node message was sent from UCLA to SRI.
Between 1971-1982 Much more Nodes joined and the Network intercommunication became more Sophisticated,The Unix developed even better and by this Qeen Elizabeth sent out her first E-mail Massage. Then During the year of 1982 the Technology Protocols develped even better than this Led to one of the first definitions of an “Internet”.
From the year 1984 the number of Hosts was up to 1,000 with more being added every day.
Between the year 1985-1998 There was the first Symbolics .com.Then the number of Hosts broke the 10,000 mark.After, during 1988 there was the first large-scale Internet worm effects Thousands of Internet Hosts.Durring 1994 Arpanet Celebrated There 25th Anniversary.
In The last years the REALAUDIO Introduced Internet Streaming Technology,Dail-up system Emerge. The Internet Backbone Continued to be Strengthened with the Addition of MCI,Microsoft and Netscape fight for WWW Browser Supremancy.Now There are more than 70,000 Mailing lists.
Now the Internet continues to Experience Staggering Growth. More People are using the Internet to Get Connected ,To others find and share Information,Conduct Business.Than ever before in History.
